UIAA and CE are the golden standard for climbing product certifications. We are the first Indian company to get all their life critical products UIAA and CE certified, and we didn’t stop there. Our manufacturing and design processes, and our facilities are ISO 9001 certified too!

All our products are manufactured in a world class production unit, at Meerut. We prototype and test our products extensively before getting them out to the market. We’re lucky and grateful to have the world’s toughest testing grounds at our door step. We take pride in bringing out products of international standard out of India!
Community Outreach
We work extensively with local communities to provide affordable solutions, helping the outdoor adventure communities across India. For example, we are the only company in India that provides certified bolting equipment to Indian communities at an affordable cost. This helps create climbing infrastructure and benefits communities.

How did you come up with the idea for this product?
Gipfel Climbing Equipment makes a wide range of gear for your outdoor adventures. India is destination for many outdoor enthusiasts, but local availability of gear is inhibited by limited choice and expensive gear (as most of quality gear is imported). Gipfel Climbing Equipment started in 2015 by making gear for climbing as it was a niche segment and there weren’t any local manufacturers of CE & UIAA certified gear. Eventually, we expanded into Tents and other outdoor products, based on local demand for quality products for related activities. Gipfel is enabling the growth of an entire generation of outdoor folks and adventurers!
What makes your product special?
Gipfel products are of the highest quality. We are the first and only Indian company that makes CE & UIAA certified products for life critical products for mountain adventures. Even our non-climbing products are either certified or we take pains to ensure they are world class! For instance, we use aircraft grade 7000 series aluminium poles (from DAC, only the best) and the highly technical fabrics to make tents for high altitudes or for weekend camping trips. Our tents simply are the best in India currently. Most of us are outdoor enthusiasts, and we use our own products. We also engage top athletes and outdoors folks to test our products. Which helps us further improve and innovate basis our experience and the feedback from the wider community.
What has been the best part of your experience?
When folks in extreme situations come back to tell us how their experience was enhanced because gear performance was least of the challenges, that makes our day. We have folks recount stories of how our tents held up in extreme rains or in snow storms, or how the harness was least of their worry at 7000 meters, and we know we are doing it right. Our equipment is used in high altitude expeditions (for lightweight and versatility), by adventure tour operators (where durability over seasons is critical), and for lighter adventures (where cost and light weight are considerations). But the best part of the experience, is improving the products based on feedback to be the best in class!
